An agricultural sciences company, FMC India launched three new products to its portfolio to help Indian farmers increase yields by using high-quality produce and a better soil profile.

"FMC India has supported Indian farmers for more than three decades, and we are devoted to enabling their prosperity while contributing to the sustainability of Indian agriculture. The new solutions unveiled today are the outcome of FMC's extensive, multi-year research into recognizing farmers' challenges and quickly and successfully resolving them through customized innovations,” Mr. Ravi Annavarapu, President of FMC India, said at the inaugural ceremony.

An innovative broad-spectrum pesticide called Talstar Plus offers protection against chewing and sucking pests, which are a major issue for Indian farmers of groundnut, cotton, and sugarcane crops. Farmers now have a more effective tool to fight insects including termite and early shoot borer in sugarcane crops, as well as white grub, thrips, and aphids in groundnuts, grey weevil, mealy bug, jassids, whiteflies, and thrips in cotton. Talstar Plus insecticide is available at leading retail stores across the country.

A new generation customized solution called Petra Bio-solution uses reactive carbon technology to enhance the biological and physical characteristics of the soil. It mobilizes the added phosphorus in the soil, giving crops the much-needed head start. Petra Bio-solution, which has been fortified with organic matter, provides food for soil bacteria, facilitates nutrient absorption, enhances soil fertility, and improves soil texture. It builds a strong foundation for healthy soil, roots, and plants that are simple to use and is appropriate for most crops. Petra Bio-solution will be available for sale in December 2022.

In order to successfully nourish crops, Cazbo crop nutrition, a specialized micronutrient solution, supplements necessary elements like calcium, zinc, and boron and works to address numerous deficiencies and associated problems in the majority of crops. When used at the proper dosage and the proper stage of the crop growth cycle, it offers more efficiency than traditional calcium solutions. The crop nutrition provided by Cazbo is expected to greatly increase fruit quality and storage capacity. Cazbo crop nutrition will be available for sale in December 2022.

FMC India’s support of Indian farmers is not limited to its extensive product offering.  In order to promote good agricultural practices for all types of crops grown throughout India, the company has been offering specifically made training programs for farmers all year long. For instance, the business collaborated on a Model Village Program with Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agriculture University (Hyderabad) to advance sustainable agricultural methods. In addition, FMC India works to supply rural areas with clean, safe drinking water through its main community outreach program, Project Samarth. With the installation of more than 57 reverse osmosis water treatment facilities around the nation, it has given clean drinking water to more than 100,000 farmer families.
