Best Agrolife Receives ‘A’ Credit Rating from Care Ratings
Best Agrolife Ltd. (BAL), an Indian agrochemical major, announced on Friday that CARE Ratings Limited has assigned a 'CARE A-' rating to the company's long-term bank facilities with a stable outlook. CARE assigned the rating to BAL’s bank facilities on the basis of the company’s long track record of operations, integrated operations of the group with a diversified product portfolio, and wide distribution network. The ratings further derived strength from the consistent growth in scale of operations at the compounded annual growth rate of over 23% over the past four fiscals ending FY22.

Rabi Season: Gram Unnati Conducts Training with KVK Hisar for Farmers
Ahead of the upcoming Rabi season, Gram Unnati, India’s first integrated agri-tech solutions company, under the aegis of Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Limited, conducted a training program together with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), at Sadalpur in Hisar that was attended by more than 50 farmers who are gearing up to sow mustard.

16% of Agricultural Loan Turns Non-Performing Assets, says CIBIL Report
According to the TU CIBIL "Insights" report, loans totaling Rs 7.6 lakh crore were disbursed for agricultural purposes in FY22. This covers loans made by commercial banks, financial companies, and alternative lenders such as rural banks and cooperatives. Banks in the public and private sectors make up 70% and 14%, respectively.

ATPBR, ICAR & IARI Organized First Global Okra Round Table in Delhi
Advanced Training in Plant Breeding & Research (ATPBR), together with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), organized the Global Okra Round Table (GORT) at AP Sinde Auditorium, NASC Complex. The GORT ‘22 was aimed to bring together all okra crop improvement scientists and other stakeholders together at the very campus where the okra virus resistance breeding started with the release of the variety Pusa Sawani by the Late Dr. H. B. Singh.

PM Kisan 12th Installment: Government to Transfer Rs. 2000 to Farmers' Bank Account on Oct 17
An official statement released by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare last week mentioned that the Central government will release the 12th installment of PM Kisan Yojana during the ‘Agri-startup Conclave & Kisan Sammelan’ on 17 & 18 October 2022. It is important to mention here that till now, the Centre has released eleven installments under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and the last one was disbursed on 31st May.

Improve Productivity at Lower Cost with Group Farming: Tomar at ASSOCHAM National Conference
The National Conference on Enhancing Agricultural Productivity: Integration of Improved Seeds and Agri Inputs organized by ASSOCHAM took place today at the NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi with Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar, who joined the conference virtually, as the chief guest.
