Corteva Agriscience Hosts Dhan Mahotsav to Upskill Rice Farmers in Punjab
Corteva Agriscience, a global pure-play agriculture company, yesterday organised a field event, ‘Dhan Mahotsav’ in Mansa, Punjab. In the day-long event, agriculture experts and scientists aimed to teach, train, and educate 600+ farmers about the advantages of AcreNext next generation rice farming.

UNDP Partners With Arya.Ag and FWWB India To Improve Incomes of 10,000 Households
UNDP has selected Arya.ag and Friends of Women’s World Banking, India (FWWB India) as partners for implementing enterprise promotion and value chain interventions in agriculture and allied activities. The partnership aims to create a cadre of community resource persons for mentoring and supporting entrepreneurs and promoting individual and group enterprises by December 2023. The blueprint of Project Excel includes building a team of sourcing managers to implement value chain interventions and establish market and credit linkages through collectivization.

Youth Festival Begins in Ludhiana Today After 3 Years Gap
Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) is hosting a youth festival that begins today i.e., October 13 in Ludhiana. The festival which will continue till October 20 will be conducted in two phases. Talking to media, Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director of Students' Welfare, said, "We are conducting a youth festival after a three-year gap due to Covid-19 restrictions."

Bayer Starts Commercial Usage of Drone Services for Farmers as part of its Digital Transformation Initiative
Bayer, a global enterprise with core competencies in the life sciences fields of healthcare and agriculture, has announced that it has initiated the commercial use of drones in agriculture in Kharif 2022. Drone services will be phased in for crop protection purposes across paddy, cotton, soybean, corn, and horticulture crops. Bayer became the first company to initiate internal trials and association with universities and research stations for technology development and regulatory data generation.

Interaction With Biotech Corn Farmers at the 16th Pan-Asia Farmers’ Exchange Program
It’s the fourth day of the FX program which is underway at one of the most beautiful places, the collection of islands located in Southeast Asia, well recognized for its beautiful beaches and delicious fruits, the Philippines, which at present is all over the news and is a hotspot as various delegates from Asian countries have congregated in order to learn about the plant biotechnology. The highlight of the day was the interaction with biotech corn farmers, the farm visit, and a visit to Corteva Seed Processing Plant in Tarlac city. More to follow, as the day unfolds.
