Adani Agri Logistics Gets Contract from FCI to Set up 4 Silos Complexes in UP, Bihar
Following a competitive bidding process, the Food Corporation of India (FCI) awarded Adani Logistics Ltd a letter of award (LoA) for the construction of silo complexes at various locations throughout the nation. A statement released by the company said "Farmers currently have to wait for two to three days while their agricultural products go through the traditional farm-to-mandi procurement chain. But with the implementation of this new initiative, the processing time will only take one to two hours. This will greatly increase the effectiveness of procurement."

Super Cyclone Over the Coast of Bay of Bengal Rumor Dismissed by IMD
After a Canadian meteorological and climate Ph.D. student at Saskatchewan University predicted that a superstorm would hit the Indian shore of the Bay of Bengal, rumors about it began to circulate. Even the Super Cyclone was given a name: Sitrang. According to top weather scientist Umashankar Dash, "The IMD suggested the formation of cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal between October 14 and October 20, although all cyclonic circulations do not take the shape of a cyclone."
