For over a long time the subsidy premiums were not being paid and claims were lying pending. The announcement was made during the launch of the the 'Wind Portal App' under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana at the Hotel Shangrila, Connaught Place in New Delhi on July 21, 2023. These insurance claims were pending for years.

Approximately Rs 8.5 crore will be disbursed to PM Kisan beneficiaries. Eligible farmers will receive Rs 2000 per installment, totaling Rs 6000 in a year. It is important to note that the 14th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be credited to bank accounts linked to both Aadhaar and NPCI. Therefore, beneficiaries need to ensure that their bank accounts are connected to NPCI and Aadhaar.
