    ITC Limited, one of India's leading multi-business enterprises on Tuesday, July 25, released a special postal stamp on millets, in collaboration with the Department of Post, Ministry of Communication, in New Delhi. As part of IT's Mission Millets initiative commemorating the International Year of Millets, the exclusive postal stamp celebrates the Shree Anna and the nationwide efforts to raise awareness on millets. ITC aims to help India eat better and raise awareness on millets, a movement spearheaded by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

  • Subsidized Tomato Sale: NCCF Offering Tomatoes at Just Rs 70 per kg via ONDC

    To provide relief to consumers amidst the sharp rise in tomato prices, the National Cooperative Consumers Federation of India Ltd (NCCF), the government's agricultural marketing company, has taken a proactive step by commencing the sale of tomatoes at a subsidized rate through the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).

    SAARC Agriculture Centre (SAC) and International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) are organizing a four-day training program for SAARC member countries on Climate Smart Agriculture in South Asia: Technologies, Policies, and Digital Innovation. The training program is being organized from 25 to 28 July 2023 at the IRRI South Asia Regional Centre in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. 28 senior government officials from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka are participating in this training program.

  • Chennai Power Shutdown: Many Parts in City Face Power Outage Due To Scheduled Maintenance

    Certain areas of Chennai have experienced temporary power outage issues due to scheduled maintenance work today. The power cuts, which are planned by TANGEDCO (Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Company), took place from 9 am to 2 pm. TANGEDCO had mentioned that if the maintenance work is finished ahead of schedule, the power supply will be restored before 2 pm.
