    The Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare released the progress of area coverage under Kharif crops on Saturday, July 28, 2023. A number of crops have shown an upward trend including - rice, millet, oilseeds, and sugarcane. While the rice was cultivated in 233.25 hectares in 2022, it jumped up to 237.58 hectares in 2023. Millet or Shri Anna cum Coarse cereals land usage rose by 2.28 hectares. Oilseeds have shown a steep rise from 167.61 hectares to 171.02 in 2023, while sugarcane crop was sown at 2.66 higher land this year.
