In Haryana, the state government is going to take an important decision to resolve all the disputes related to agriculture and farmers. On completion of seven years of its tenure, the state govt. can announce the opening of agricultural courts in every district.

After the opening of agricultural courts, all kinds of disputes including delay in payment, non-payment of compensation and alleged arbitrariness of crop insurance companies can be challenged. The Haryana government believes that after the opening of agricultural courts, disputes related to farmers will be resolved expeditiously.

On October 27, the seven years of the BJP government are going to be completed. In these seven years, the ministers of the Haryana government have gone out in the field with seven major schemes. Although the state government has a long list of 132 works to count, only those decisions will be discussed, which are directly related to the interests of the people. Area wise discussion will be held on welfare schemes for the benefit of the people of NCR, Central Haryana and North Haryana. At present, the most important issue is related to the interest of farmers and agriculture, about which the government seems serious.

The government is moving ahead with the intention of resolving every complaint in the agriculture courts to be opened in the districts.

Whether the responsibility of these agriculture courts should be handed over to the IAS officers or to the officers of HCS or Agriculture Department, a final decision is yet to be taken on this.

To encourage beekeeping, the government has prepared a plan to set up a honey trading center in the state. Apart from encouraging progressive farmers, the responsibility of making them farmer friends is also being entrusted. A progressive farmer will train 10 new farmers and make them like himself, while a progressive farmer will be entrusted with the responsibility of fostering friendship with 100 farmers. As Kisan Mitra, progressive farmers will give information about crop and financial management to the general farmers, so that maximum profit can be obtained in the crop.

The Haryana government has also focused on setting up a Farmer Producer Organization (FPO). So far 486 FPOs have been formed, in which 76,855 farmers are connected. There is an intention to grow these to 1,000 FPOs, with a budget of Rs.14 crore, 98 lakh set aside for this purpose.

According to Chief Minister Manohar Lal, a one-time settlement scheme of relief from crop debts, interest and penalties equivalent to three lakh 8,213 farmers of 1crore 72 lakh rupees have been waived. He argued that the state administration was making rapid progress toward the wellbeing of farmers.
