Farmers unions will hold another strike against New Farm Bills on 5th November

On 27th October, several farmers unions and organizations declared that there would be a nationwide road strike on November 5th in order to show protest against the new Farm Bills which had been passed by both the houses as well as the President last month.

On 27th October, several farmers unions and organizations declared that there would be a nationwide road strike on November 5th against the new Farm Bills which was passed by both the houses as well as the President last month.

Over 500 constituent holding farmer federations and organisations, including the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee’s entire working individuals led by Balbir Singh Rajewal, BKU of Rajewal and Gurnam Singh, BKU chief of Haryana met at the meeting held at Delhi.

According to the statement of AIKSCC several decisions were made during the meeting, one of the decisions that was made was that there would be complete coordination among all the farmers’ federation and various other organisation outfits in order to spread the protest against the “three anti-farmer, anti-people Farm Bills as well as the Central governments Electricity (Amendment Bill) 2020”.

According to the statement released it was declared that there would be an All India road strike which would be done on 05th November. Also there would be a protest named “Delhi Chalo” which would be held on 26th-27th November.

The whole strike would be held in order to remove the three farm bills as well as the electricity bill 2020. All the state wise and region wise mass build up mobilisation as well as movement is included which would be led by a coordination body formed recently.

The committee formed would be coordinating both the protest of November 5th as well as of 26th-27th of November. The core body of the committee would include Balbir Singh Rajewal, Raju Shetty, Gurnam Singh, VM Singh and Yogendra Yadav.

In the meeting held at Delhi it was decided that the farmers would protest in front of all the government offices belonging to all the central to state government as well as all the offices belonging to the BJP and its allies and many more big corporate all over the country.

The central government’s decision to stop the Punjab’s goods trains operation was condemned at the meeting stating that the decision to blackmail the Punjab’s farmers and people and even called the government of being the most ‘undemocratic government’ till date.

In between the railway track block protest held by the farmers Railway Minister Piyush Goyal sought the assurance from the Punjab government on the safety of the trains and its crew members for the services restorement.

On October 21st the good trains services resumed after a weeklong protest against the farm laws, announcement was made to exempt the good trains from the ‘Rail Roko’ protest. However, the railways government have yet not resumed the good train services claiming that the farmers protest are still blocking the tracks.
