Many such steps are being taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi which is proving to be beneficial for the farmers. Under PM Kisan Yojana, Rs.6000 is also being deposited annually in the account of farmers. Along with this, various types of subsidies are also being given on fertilizers and seeds.

Subsidy is also being provided by the government on the machines used in agriculture such as tractor subsidies. Keeping this in mind, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Yojana is being run in which subsidy is being given on tractors.

Tractors have become the most helpful agricultural tools in recent years. They have to deal with a variety of economic situations. They do not want to take a chance by purchasing a tractor because of their poor financial situation. In such a scenario, the government has devised a brilliant scheme for those farmers. The government would provide farmers with tractors at half the cost under this scheme. The scheme is known as the PM Kisan Tractor Scheme.

Government will provide a half-price subsidy

The central government would provide farmers with a 50 percent subsidy on tractor purchases under the Prime Minister's Tractor Scheme. That is, under this scheme, farmers may buy tractors from any manufacturer at half the price, with the government covering the remainder of the cost. Apart from that, several state governments are providing farmers with tractor subsidies ranging from 20% to 50%.

You can take benefit of this scheme in the following ways

First of all, you should know that this subsidy will be given only on the purchase of a tractor. If you want to take advantage of this scheme, then you can apply online by visiting any nearest CSC center with necessary documents. You will have to provide some important documents for this, which includes Aadhar card of the farmer, land papers, bank details and passport size photo.

  • This plan is for farmers who have not purchased a tractor in the past seven years

  • The farmer must own land in his own name

  • A farmer can only receive a subsidy for one tractor

  • Only one individual per household is eligible to apply for the subsidy

  • The scheme is intended for small-scale and marginal farmers
