PM Kisan Yojana: Government Takes Steps To Address Mapping of PM Kisan Beneficiaries

The Government has started taking action to resolve mapping of the beneficiaries of PM Kisan Yojana and other problems that has hampered effective execution of the scheme.

PM Kisan Latest Update: According to officials, the Agriculture Department in Andhra Pradesh has started taking measures to deal with the issue of mapping of the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and other problems that has hampered effective execution of the Centrally-sponsored scheme.

Responding to a report published in The Hindu, the Agriculture department said that for bank account corrections, records were sent to the field staff for recognition of the beneficiaries. Besides, awareness was also being created among the beneficiaries to get their bank details in the website corrected by approaching the officials dealing with the scheme.

In addition, widespread campaigns were being held to sensitise the farmers on the matter, besides taking up the problem with the State Level Bankers’ Committee & nodal banks to resolve the failure payments in DBT schemes.

For ‘Aadhaar’ corrections also, the records is being shared with the field staff to solve the issue on a priority basis. The Central Government has launched self-registration mode for farmers last year and explained the Standard Operating Process for its operation.

It said owing to various exclusion criteria for PM Kisan, 13,76,791 records were pending for payment & the reasons include Stop payment (3,11,158), PFMS-rejected (2,18,987), Income Tax payee (99,106), Aadhar-failed (97,215), death/ineligibility (25,626), duplicate bank account (8,166), Self-registered rejections (7,645), recent lists opened for payment process (76,743) & data shared with the Government for webland mapping (5,32,145).

It further told that due to login issues with PM Kisan website in the past 15 days, the field staffs were not able to finish the approvals and the matter was being monitored by the State office for quick redressal.

Agri department informed that only 2.18 lakh records were pending for payment because of National Payment Corporation of India mapping issues & the remaining issues were beyond its purview and it had informed the Central government for further persuasion according to the PM Kisan scheme guidelines.
