The AP State government provides eligible farmers with financial assistance of Rs 13,500 per year in three installments under the YSR Rythu Bharosa - PM Kisan  scheme. The whole sum of Rs 13,500 does not come from the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme alone; as the name implies, the direct cash transfer also includes Rs 6,000 per year guaranteed to eligible farmers under the PM KISAN Samman Nidhi Scheme (PM-KISAN). In other words, while the state government provides Rs 7,500, the PM KISAN scheme provides another Rs 6,000.

It should be noted that the state government has been paying each farmer Rs 13,500 per year, including Rs 6,000 under PM-KISAN. However, the Centre has previously said that because PM-KISAN is a Central Sector Scheme, it cannot be integrated with any other scheme run by a state government. The AP state government has been paying each farmer Rs 13,500 per year, including Rs 6,000 under PM-KISANand the rest under the YSR Rythu Bandhu scheme.
