Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, putting an end to the issue over denying Rythu Bandhu to people who plant paddy during the rabi season, made it clear that there was no possibility of denying Rythu Bandhu to those who sow paddy.

It should be noted that such a proposal was made by officials in order to discourage farmers from planting paddy during the rabi season. During the kharif, the Centre made it clear that they would not acquire more than 60 lakh MT.

Farmers in the state are concerned because they have a bumper harvest this season and are unable to sell it on the market, which has resulted in occurrences such as crop burning and some farmers committing suicide. At the party's extended steering committee meeting on Friday, a resolution was passed confirming the government's resolve to provide Rythu Bandhu to all farmers.

The Dalit Bandhu scheme was also determined to be implemented in the four mandals that had been chosen previously.

Payment To Farmers

Farmers in Telangana have been given good news by the state's government. Under the Rythu Bandhu Scheme, the state government had begun crediting money to farmers' bank accounts from 15 December 2021.

Telangana farmers would get Rs 5,000 per acre from the state government. Officials from the state finance ministry have finalised plans to distribute Rs 7,500 crore in money.

Official sources claim that the finance department has been given orders to provide funding for Rythu Bandu by December 15. At a time when the state has been mired in a political war over farmers' concerns and paddy procurement since the first week of November, this is a top priority for Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao.

Earlier During the monsoon season, the Rythu Bandhu programme helped around 60.84 lakh farmers. About Rs 7,360.41 crore has been released by the government. Funds were distributed to around 1.47 crore acres.
