Anand Agriculture College, Anand

In accordance with Gujarat law (Act No. (Guj 5 of 2004) dated April 29, 2004), Anand Agricultural University (AAU) was founded there in 2004. The former Gujarat Agricultural University (GAU), which Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Dr. K. M. Munshi had envisioned as their dream university, was carved out and the new AAU was founded to support the farming community in three areas: education, research, and extension work in agriculture, horticulture engineering, product processing, and home science.

Navsari Agriculture University, Navsari

Navsari Agricultural University (NAU) is a public university that was founded in 1965 as a college of agriculture. Navsari Agricultural University was formerly a division of Gujarat Agricultural University before receiving accreditation as a public university. The College became a stand-alone Agricultural University on May 1, 2004. It occupies a vast 400-hectare farmland.

In the month of June 1960, the Junagarh College of Agriculture began operations. From its founding till 1967, the institution was a part of Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. The affiliation was then moved to Saurashtra University when it was founded there in 1968.

Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University

The Gujarat Government had recognized the Gujarat Agricultural University in the state vide Gujarat Act, No. 13 of 1969. It had repealed Gujarat Agricultural University Act, 1969 and disseminated GAUs Act, No. 5 of 2004. Consequently, 4 State Agricultural Universities were created from erstwhile GAU, S. D. Agricultural University being one of them.

SDAU was set up for better development of Agriculture & allied sectors in the North Gujarat Agro-climatic Zone.

Gujarat State Combined Entrance Exam

Anand Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Junagadh Agricultural University, and Navsari Agricultural University all need applicants to take the Gujarat State Agricultural Universities Common Admission (GSAUCA) test. The main courses provided are offered under agriculture and its allied sectors. The numerous programs include postgraduate courses, undergraduate degree programs (B.Tech, B.Sc.), and polytechnic courses (MBA).
