Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), commonly known as HPCL, operates as a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), which, in turn, falls under the ownership of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. Its headquarters are located in Mumbai. Since 2018, the majority of HPCL's stake has been held by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. HPCL held the 367th position on the Fortune Global 500 list of the world's largest corporations as of 2016. Notably, on October 24, 2019, it achieved the prestigious Maharatna status as a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).
