Krishi Jagran (KJ), LIMCA BOOK OF RECORD holder, India’s pioneer agricultural magazine, with combined readership of more than one crore, printing since 1994 in 12 languages and disseminating its work in 23 editions is making its debut in the realm of organizing field level program “DOUBLING FARMERS’ INCOME”.
KJ has a vision to emancipate farmers’ socio- economic conditions, and enhance their technical and scientific knowledge by collaborating with the eminent experts and agronomists, updating PROGRESSIVE farmers about the latest machinery, modern agricultural practices, government schemes, loan availability etc.
PM Modi’s stress on " Doubling Farmers income by 2022-23" adds weight to KJ’s initiative. If anything is to be doubled by the year 2022-23, it will require an annual growth rate of 10.4 %, which would take in the secondary and tertiary industries equally in its wave which points to authoritative need to educate our farmers and connecting them with market and technology. KJ visions to organize 200 district level events in this financial year.
As part of it, the seminars are being organised, starting from Kerala. There are six seminars lined up in Kerala in the first phase. The seminars were successfully conducted on August 6 at Trivandrum and on August 13 at Kottayam. The other scheduled Seminars will be conducted on 17th August in Alppuzha , on 19th August at Kollam , on 24th August at Ernakulam and on 28th August at Thrissur.
