Walking as an exercise and a form of cardio workout is often undermined. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that adults get at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity weekly. Walking briskly for 30 minutes, five days a week, can be very beneficial.
