Fruit Diet For Healthy Hair:

1. Blueberries & Strawberries:

Blueberries or “Super Food” contain Vitamin C and Zinc. They are also  high in antioxidants which can help strengthen the tiny capillaries near the surface of your skin. Therefore, helps the scalp receive all the nutrients required to keep hair fed and conditioned. You can add blueberries in morning cereal, a salad or on top of pancakes.

Strawberries are another great source of silica. They contain Vitamins B and C which help strengthen hair.

2. Oranges:

They are full of Vitamin C, magnesium, fiber, beta-carotene, flavonoids and silica. Oranges are an excellent source of fruit that promotes hair growth.

3. Guava:

It contains Vitamins A and C . Vitamin C in guava prevents hair breakage, while Vitamin A helps hair grow. One can try a guava hair mask once a week, if your scalp is dry, scaly and uncomfortable.

4. Banana

Bananas contain minerals such as pectin, magnesium and Vitamin A. It strengthens hair and Vitamin A promotes hair growth by assisting in sebum production in the scalp.

Vegetable Diet For Healthy Hair:

1. Sweet Potato

Sweet potatoes have the magic to turn dry, dull hair into healthy and shiny hair. They contain beta-carotene, which turns into Vitamin A once eaten. However, if you don't like them then add carrots or pumpkins to your diet.

2. Brussels Sprouts

Brussels sprouts contain sulfur, folate and cysteine. Sulfur aids in the production of keratin and folate prevents hair from becoming brittle, thinning and even breaking.

3. Spinach

Spinach contains iron, Vitamin A, folate and Vitamin C. They work together to keep hair moisturized and healthy.

4. Avocado & Broccoli

Avocado is rich in Omega-3, which supports the  healthy growth of hair. Adding to it,  they are also rich in Vitamins E and B which promote hair growth.

Green broccoli is a good source of Vitamin C, which aids in collagen production. Broccoli also benefits your liver to help clear the body of toxins that may hurt hair growth.

Other Hair Care Tips:

1. Hair Wash-

Wash your hair with lukewarm water. Avoid hot water as it will dry your hair and scalp.

2. Hair Mask-

Apply hair mask once a week to moisturize your hair and scalp.

3. Hair Conditioning-

Always condition your hair after wash.

4. Wear Hats/Scarf-

They protect hair and scalp from the heat and other harmful elements. Wear the ones that have silk linings.

5. Use Serums-

Using serums on scalp post conditioning is good for your hair. One must apply a protective serum not only on the hair but also on the scalp.

6. Dryers-

Avoid using dryer at the extreme hot temperature rather use air drying mode that are generally available in the dryers. Using dryer at extreme hot temperature can harm your hair and cause breakage of hair and split ends. It is preferred to not to use dryers and as an alternative dry your hair with some cotton cloth or t-shirts.

7. Stress-

Avoid stress as it causes hair fall. Not only hair fall, but it also affects your health in various ways. Use strategies which can help you to manage stress. Do yoga, exercise and medication to deal with stress naturally.

8. Oiling-

Don't skip oiling as it is not a healthy practice for your hair health. Oil gives the required nourishment and strength to your hair. Regular oiling can also help to avoid hair fall.
