ExxonMobil and Broadridge supported the initiatives as part of their CSR initiative. To date, ten water ATMs have been installed in the Malur and Doddaballapur villages on the outskirts of Bengaluru, providing clean drinking water to nearly 1500 families.

The Unnati Foundation is a skill-development organization for poor youth in many states. In 35 days, their programme trains youth and places them in corporate careers. In the fiscal year 2022-23, they trained over 28000 youth.

They also help villages set up Water ATMs to supply safe drinking water to remote areas. A few local panchayats in Malur and Doddaballapur villages have sought Unnati for assistance in providing safe drinking water to their populations.  Only a few of the localities were hit by high fluoride water poisoning, which caused health problems in many families.

Unnati responded by contacting Boson Whitewater, a company with experience in such projects, notably in school settings. Boson Whitewater chose to contribute to the endeavour and work towards the objective of giving safe water to numerous remote villages.

Boson Whitewater builds water ATMs and offers Water ATM cards to the Panchayat after examining the location given by the Unnati Foundation. Each family is given a Water Card that has Rs.50 preloaded on it and may be used to dispense 20 litres of water. A minimal payment of Rs.5 per 20-litre can of water is levied to support the program's viability. ExxonMobil and Broadridge offered financial support for the project.

Ramesh Swamy, Director of the Unnati Foundation, commented on the effort, saying, "We would like to thank ExxonMobil and Broadridge for their financial support for the projects. This relationship exemplifies how social enterprises and private actors can work together for the greater interest of the community. More people in rural communities now have simple access to safe and clean drinking water, which is crucial for health and well-being, thanks to our collaborative efforts. We are excited to collaborate with Boson Whitewater to reach many more rural people across India."

Vikas Brahmavar, CEO and Co-Founder of Boson Whitewater, commented on this, saying, "At Boson Whitewater, our overarching goal is to use our technology to create easy access to clean water." We search for chances like this one that allow us to make a significant difference in communities where clean water is scarce. We are delighted about our collaboration with Unnati Foundation and look forward to collaborating on additional initiatives in the future. More Water ATMs will be implemented in Karnataka communities over the following few months."
