On February 22, Certis Biologicals announced that it will make SoilGard® (Trichoderma virens) available to growers in all 50 states through trusted retailers and distribution channels, in response to market demand.

An easy-to-use granular formulation of the microbial fungicide SoilGard contains a living, naturally occurring soil fungus that is antagonistic to plant pathogenic fungi like Pythium, Rhizoctonia & Fusarium.

The product has a broad array of label uses, including on ornamental plants, food crops, greenhouses, and nurseries. SoilGard is OMRI-Listed® and approved for use in both conventional and organic agriculture.

Tim Riley, National Sales Director, states that "SoilGard offers growers with another eco-friendly, sustainable tool to safeguard a variety of crops against diseases that threaten them.”

"Our team is proud to bring this product to growers so that they can feel confident relying upon its flexibility and ease of use while trusting its efficacy," he added.

SoilGard offers several key advantages to growers, including increased application flexibility. SoilGard can be applied throughout the growing season, even up to harvest, with a zero-hour REI. It can be dissolved in water and applied through soil drench, root dip, or irrigation systems due to its formulation, but its dry granules can also be mixed directly into soil or growing media.

Certis Biologicals meets the challenges faced by today's growers around the world to feed a booming population while maintaining the natural resources and environments required for a healthy planet by selling biological products through a global distribution network and collaborating with various technology, regulatory, and sourcing companies in more than 130 countries worldwide.
