The Solar PV module manufacturers Waaree Energies Limited have announced a strategic agreement with Mahindra Susten, a prominent player in the production of independent power from renewable sources, in a major step towards supporting India's renewable energy sector. Under this agreement, Waaree Energies Limited will supply 280 MW of AHNAY Series, Bi-55 545Wp solar modules to Mahindra Susten. The delivery of these modules is scheduled for the third quarter of fiscal 2025.

High-Performance Modules for Sustainable Energy Solutions

The selected modules by Mahindra Susten boast advanced bifacial Glass-to-Glass technology and come with a robust 30-year output performance warranty. Waaree Energies Limited's bifacial Glass-to-Glass modules are recognized for their enhanced efficiency and durability, as highlighted in the company's media statement.

Commitment to Clean Energy Transition

Hitesh Doshi, Chairman & Managing Director of Waaree Energies Limited, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, stating that the collaboration with Mahindra Susten brings immense pleasure to Waaree Energies Limited. He added that it signifies another step in their commitment to advancing India’s clean energy transition. Doshi emphasized the company's mission to promote the widespread adoption of sustainable energy solutions through strategic collaborations.

Supporting Atmanirbhar Bharat Initiative

Deepak Thakur, Managing Director & CEO of Mahindra Susten, underscored the alignment between Waaree Energies Limited's 'Made-in-India' products and their commitment to supporting the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (Self-Reliant India) initiative. He emphasized Mahindra Susten's dedication to powering the nation with clean, sustainable energy and expressed excitement about the opportunities ahead in expanding their renewable energy portfolio.

Contributing to India's Renewable Energy Landscape

Mahindra Susten has a strong track record in renewable energy development, having developed over 1.5 GWp of renewable assets as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) and executed over 4.2 GWp of renewable projects as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor in India and globally.

Certification for Topcon Modules

In a related development, Waaree Energies Limited recently obtained certification for Topcon Modules from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). These modules, specifically designed with glass-to-backsheet technology and a capacity of up to 625Wp, fall under the category of ‘Crystalline Silicon Terrestrial Photovoltaic (PV) Modules (Si wafer-based).’ This certification further solidifies Waaree Energies Limited's position as a leader in providing high-quality solar solutions for India's renewable energy needs.
