Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said that the protesting farmers would gherao parliament if the Centre does not revoke three new agricultural laws.

Tikait addressed the Unified Kisan Morcha Kisan Mahapanchayat at Sikar Rajasthan on Tuesday. This time there would be a call for the Gherao Parliament.

‘We're going to declare it, then march toward Delhi. 40 lakh tractors are going to be there this time instead of four lakh tractors,’ he added.  Tikait said the protesting farmers would plough and cultivate crops in the parks near India Gate. He also added that United Front leaders will determine the date for the parliament to gherao.

He also said that on January 26, when fighting had broken out in the national capital during their tractor parade, there was a plot to malign the country's farmers. The country's farmers enjoy the tricolor, but not this country's officials, he added.

He said farmers publicly threaten the government that if it does not repeal all three controversial agricultural laws and does not enforce the MSP, then the country's farmers will also demolish the godowns of big businesses. The United Front is also going to offer a date soon for this, he added.
