Aadhar Card & PAN Card has become indispensable documents for every Indian. The central government has made it mandatory to link Aadhar with PAN Card and the deadline for the same has been extended to March 2022. But, there are chances that while linking these two documents, a person may face difficulty due to a mismatch in details.
From the spelling of the name to the permanent address, the details may not necessarily remain the same throughout a person’s life. Also, there might be errors in entering these details during the registration. This can lead to problems while linking Aadhar with PAN. But, thankfully, we have an option to make the changes to our Aadhar Card.
How Many Times Can a Person Change Details in Aadhar?

According to the official website of UIDAI, a person is allowed to change their name twice on Aadhar Card. Also, the authorities allow gender to be changed but that is only once.

Apart from this, the date of birth too can be updated once. But, there is a caveat in this, date of birth can only be updated if your previous date of birth was unverified with UIDAI.
How to Make Changes in Aadhar Card?

First of all, you have to visit the official website of UIDAI.

After visiting the website, click on the “My Aadhar” tab there.

Select “Update your Aadhar” & click on “Update Demographics Data Online”.

On the new page, which automatically opens, click “Proceed to Aadhar Update” there.

You will then ask to enter your Aadhar Number & Captcha Code for verification.

After filling up your details, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter that OTP in the box & click on “Login”.

Now, make all required changes & upload the relevant documents. These might include Ration Card, Driver’s License, VoterID Card, Bank Statement, Passport, etc.

After making the required changes, proceed & you will be asked to make a payment.

Pay the due amount & the changes have been made successfully.
