Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers, will preside over the Conclave. The goal of the Conclave is to reaffirm political commitment to galvanize efforts for malaria eradication by 2030.

The Conclave will provide a forum for Asia Pacific leaders to debate ongoing malaria eradication efforts and revive national and regional momentum towards the goal of an Asia Pacific free of malaria by 2030.

Tracking regional and national progress, addressing at-risk people, utilising research, innovation, and new technology to expedite progress, and taking a whole-of-government strategy to eliminating the disease will all be covered in sessions.

In recent years, India has achieved significant progress in malaria eradication, which has been recognized globally. Only India, one of the 11 countries participating in the World Health Organization's 'High Burden to High Impact' initiative, reported a decrease in malaria infections during the peak of the pandemic.

Malaria cases and deaths decreased by 85.1% and 83.6%, respectively, between 2015 and 2022.

The event will be attended by Mizoram's Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Shri Rajesh Bhushan, Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Poonam Khetrapal Singh, Regional Director, World Health Organisation, SEARO, and Health Ministers from APLMA member nations, including Dr. Culwick Togamana, Solomon Islands' Minister of Health, and Dr. Atonio Lalabalavu, Republic of Fiji's Minister of Health.
