Navaneet Murugesh, an equine breeder from Bangalore, has made significant impact in the industry by establishing the first private equine semen laboratory in Yelhanka, Bangalore. This pioneering venture represents a major advancement in equine reproductive technology by providing a wide range of services, such as facilities for fresh, cooled, and frozen stallion semen.

Murugesh's journey towards this innovative achievement began with rigorous training under the guidance of experts from the ICAR-National Research Centre on Equines (ICAR-NRCE). Equipped with invaluable knowledge and expertise in stallion semen collection and cryopreservation, Murugesh set out to transform the horse breeding industry.

Drawing upon cutting-edge technologies developed by the ICAR-NRCE Bikaner Campus, including 'Semen Collection and Cryopreservation in Indigenous Horses' and 'Customized AV for semen collection from Stallions' spearheaded by Dr. T.R Talluri and his team, Murugesh acquired the necessary tools to realize his vision.

With unwavering determination and a commitment to excellence, Murugesh established a state-of-the-art laboratory in Yelhanka, Bangalore, dedicated to semen collection and cryopreservation. Leveraging technical insights provided by ICAR-NRCE, Murugesh and his team achieved remarkable milestones, successfully cryopreserving over 1000 straws of equine semen and conducting successful inseminations using frozen and chilled semen during a comprehensive training program.

The commencement of collection, cryopreservation, and Artificial Insemination services for both indigenous and exotic horses mark a significant leap forward in equine reproductive science. Murugesh's achievements have not only propelled advancements in the field but have also served as a source of motivation for aspiring entrepreneurs in the domain.

In recognition of his pioneering efforts, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between ICAR-NRCE and M/s. Equine Breeding India, Bengaluru, cementing a collaborative partnership aimed at furthering research and innovation in equine reproductive technologies.

Through his innovative initiatives, Murugesh has not only elevated the standards of equine reproductive services but has also set a precedent for future endeavors in the field.
