On Sunday, Uttarakhand CM Pushar Singh Dhami said that the Central Government is working to enhance the conditions of farmers and make agricultural policies farmer-centric.

CM Dhami said, “The Central and the State governments under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have always been farmer-friendly. The Extent of empowerment of the farmers is unmatched. The Prime Minister is of the opinion that the confidence of the farmers of the country is the biggest strength of the country. And, the central government is working on improvising the farmer’s conditions and making the agricultural policies farmer-centric. “

At Rajwada Farm in Uttarakhand’s Roorkee district, the Chief Minister was attending the closing session of the State Working Committee of Bhartiya Janta Party Kisan Morcha.

During the occasion, CM spoke, “It is the constant effort of the government that the farmers of India are getting the modern facilities which are available to the farmers of the big countries of the world. And, is the resolve of the Prime Minister that the journey from seed to market should only be evened for our farmers and should also increase their income."

He further added, "In the past years, the traditional problems of the farmers like power cuts, shortage of urea, and irregular irrigation have also been minimized as a protected environment has also been made available to the farmers through various schemes like Soil Health Card, Crop Insurance Scheme, Kisan Credit Card, Kisan Samman Nidhi, etc."

“India has always been an agricultural country and our society has always been developed around agriculture, and our traditions were nurtured and festivals were determined. On the subject of agriculture, Indian history is so rich that we have ancient texts like Krishi-Parashara and Krishi Sukta.”

Also, he visited the stalls at the event based on several schemes being run for the farmers by the Central and State governments and also flagged off the Shobha Yatra.
