Punjab Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (PAMETI), PAU Campus, Ludhiana in collaboration will Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) is going to organize two Skill Development Programmes on "Dairy Farmer/Entrepreneur" from 12 February-16 March, 2018 and on "Agricultural Extension Service Provider" from 19 February-23 March, 2018 for the benefit of candidates from Punjab who are farmer, school/college dropouts or unemployed.
Dr. H.S. Dhaliwal, Director PAMETI revealed that the trainings will commence under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). This is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable and mobilize a large number of youth to take up industry designed quality skill training, become employable and earn their livelihood.
Dr. H.K. Verma, Director of Extension Education of GADVASU informed that Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) works towards building capacity by bridging gaps and upgrading skills of farmers, farm & wage workers, self-employed and extension workers engaged in organized/unorganized segments of agriculture and allied sectors.
Dr. Dhaliwal said that the detailed information for these programmes is also available on PAU website. The candidates will be selected on first come first serve basis. There are only 20 seats for each course in the minimum age should be 18 years. Anybody interested in these trainings may contact and submit his application on or before 10thFebruary 2018 before 5.p.m.
