The newly elected Delhi government has introduced the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana 2025, an initiative aimed at empowering women from economically weaker sections. Through this scheme, eligible women will receive Rs 2,500 per month, providing them with a stable financial base to enhance their independence and social standing.

The primary objective is to offer consistent support, helping beneficiaries manage their daily expenses, pursue personal growth, or explore entrepreneurial ventures, thereby fostering long-term economic empowerment.

Eligibility Criteria

To benefit from this scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:​

  • Residency: Applicants must be permanent residents of Delhi.​

  • Economic Status: Women should belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) or Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories.

  • Age Limit: Eligible women must be between 21 and 59 years old.​

  • Income Threshold: The family's annual income should not exceed Rs 3 lakh, and no family member should have filed income tax.​

  • Exclusive Benefit: Applicants should not be recipients of similar financial assistance from other government schemes. ​

Required Documentation

Applicants need to provide the following documents:​

  • BPL Card: Proof of Below Poverty Line status.​

  • Aadhaar Card: For personal identification.​

  • Residence Proof: Documents such as a voter ID, birth certificate, or ration card to confirm residency.​

  • Income Certificate: To validate the family's income level. ​

Application Process

The Delhi government has streamlined the application process to ensure accessibility:​

  1. Online Registration: Applicants must register on the official Delhi e-district portal or Mahila Samriddhi Yojana Website

  2. Form Submission: After registration, log in using the provided credentials to access and fill out the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana application form.​

  3. Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of the necessary documents as specified.​

  4. Submission: Review the application for accuracy and submit it online.​

  5. Acknowledgment: Upon successful submission, an acknowledgment receipt will be generated for future reference.

In addition to the monthly financial assistance, the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana offers several additional benefits. Pregnant women are entitled to a one-time aid of Rs 21,000 along with six nutrition kits to ensure maternal and child health. Furthermore, the scheme provides subsidies on LPG gas cylinders, reducing the burden of household expenses and promoting cleaner cooking practices.
