Starting today, December 1, private schools in Delhi will accept applications for admission to their nursery classes for the academic year 2023–24. The registration deadline is December 23. The national capital's admissions process for starting classes will involve more than 1,800 schools.
The government will publish the first merit list for private school admissions to Delhi Nursery on January 20, 2023.
The minimum age allowed for nursery admissions is four years old. As of March 31, 2023, it is five years for kindergarten and six years for Class 1. Schools will announce admission information and the number of available seats on December 16.
On February 6, 2022, the second merit list will be made public.
"There may be no deviation from the above schedule. The aforementioned admission schedule must be posted on each school's notice board and website. Additionally, each school must make sure that all candidates have access to admission application forms up until the deadline for submission "According to Delhi DoE's notification.
According to the notification, only a non-refundable sum of Rs 25 can be collected as an admission registration fee. Parents will not be required to purchase the school prospectus.
It stated that all private schools will reserve 25% of seats for students from economically disadvantaged groups, economically weaker sectors, and children with disabilities.
