Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh to Inaugurate 'MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra' in Jhansi

The MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra sets off to honor India's farming community in the central and western regions. The yatra is a celebration of agricultural triumphs and innovations, connecting over one lakh farmers across 4,520 locations.

The 'MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra', powered by Jain Irrigation System Ltd., is progressively weaving through the heartlands of India. After a successful flag-off in the northern and southern regions, it is set to witness a grand flag-off ceremony for the central and western regions, slated for March 5, 2024, at the Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi. This institution, under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), stands as a torchbearer of agricultural education, research, and extension, making it the perfect backdrop for the onset of this monumental journey.

MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra: A Gathering of Visionaries

The flag-off ceremony will be honored by Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Vice Chancellor of RLB Central University and former Deputy Director General (Agricultural Extension) of ICAR, New Delhi. Joining him will be MC Dominic, the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran, and Shiny Dominic, Managing Director. Their collective presence underscores the significance of the event, which aims to traverse the western and central states, namely Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, celebrating the spirit and resilience of its farmers.

In expressing his enthusiasm for the event, MC Dominic said, “After a successful flag-off ceremony in the North and South Regions, we are elated to inaugurate the 'MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra' in the west and central regions. We aim to reach out to all the farmers across the terrain, acknowledging their hard work and appreciating their efforts in helping build food security across the nation.”

The event is expected to witness participation from over 500 farmers from across the state. It will also host an exhibition from Jain Irrigation and certificate distribution for two categories: Millionaire Farmer and Progressive Farmer.

Celebrating the Unsung Heroes of Agriculture

The 'MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra' is not just a journey across the geographical expanse of India; it's a mission to celebrate and recognize the unsung heroes of agriculture. With an ambitious goal to connect with over one lakh millionaire farmers, covering 4,520 locations and an extensive distance of more than 26,000 kilometers, this initiative seeks to foster a sense of pride and motivation within the agricultural community.

As part of Krishi Jagran’s flagship initiative, the 'Samridh Kisan Utsav', the yatra aims to highlight innovations in agriculture, crop management, and the roadmap for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in the district, alongside advancements in the tractor industry. This celebration is dedicated to Krishi Jagran’s commitment to maximizing farmer income and ensuring a prosperous Bharat.

As the dedicated vehicles continue their over 200 day expedition, the 'MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra' symbolizes unity, progress, and the indomitable spirit of the Indian farmer. It promises to be an enlightening journey through the success stories, technological advancements, and the collective spirit of the farming community, paving the way for a future where the agricultural sector is recognized as the cornerstone of the nation's prosperity.

The second edition of the 'Millionaire Farmer of India Awards', sponsored by Mahindra Tractors, is all set to take place from December 5 to 7, 2024. The one-of-a-kind award show recognizes farmers' potential and hard work and felicitates them with their due credit. This year, Krishi Jagran invites nominations in more than 150 categories such as:
