On June 28, 2024, a lively gathering of farmers from across the region took place at the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' at the Conference Hall of Prince Hotel in Bhagwanpur, Haridwar, Uttarakhand hosted by Krishi Jagran. The event sponsored by Mahindra Tractors and themed 'Maximizing Farmers' Income for a Prosperous Bharat,' provided a crucial platform for the agricultural community. Supported by Muthoot Finance, supported by Somani Seedz with ICAR serving as the esteemed knowledge partner, the Utsav also received support from the Department of Agriculture-Hardwar, Department of Horticulture-Haridwar, KVK-Haridwar, and Bhuamrit Farmer Producer Company Ltd- Bhagwanpur. This Utsav was a huge success, with a massive turnout of over 600 farmers who benefited from valuable insights into the latest agricultural practices, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from the farming community.
The day began with participant registration, followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony. MC Dominic, Founder & Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran & Agriculture World welcomed everyone in the event.
Ravikiran Saini, Chairman, Bhuamrit FPO, Haridwar, stated, "Our company collaborates with over 500 farmers, assisting them from production to marketing to ensure they receive competitive prices in the market. Through our partnership with IIT Roorkee, farmers receive timely weather updates directly in their groups."
Digvijay Rajput, ZMM of Mahindra Tractors, captivated the audience by emphasizing the transformative impact of cutting-edge agricultural machinery. His presentation showcased the latest Mahindra tractor models, aimed at significantly boosting efficiency and productivity in agricultural operations.
Mahipal, District Horticulture Officer, Haridwar expressed his deep appreciation for Krishi Jagran’s 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' initiative, emphasizing its transformative impact on farmers. The event not only empowers and recognizes farmers but also instils a sense of pride in their profession. By providing a platform for skill enhancement, and recognition, the Utsav plays an important role in uplifting agricultural communities across the region.

Moreover, he also expressed that the MFOI Awards aim to bring prestige to the farming community and agribusiness sector.

These successful farmers were celebrated with awards at district, state, and national levels. I encourage farmers in Haridwar to nominate themselves and join this year's 'Millionaire Farmer of India Award,' offering a chance for local recognition and national acclaim. Additionally, we are launching the Global Farmers Business Network this year, empowering farmers to expand their ventures globally," he added.
Muthoot Finance also hosted a wonderful and interactive quiz competition as a part of the event, awarding prizes to the winners.
Following this, Mahindra Tractors awarded progressive farmers with certificate, acknowledging their achievements and contributions towards the agriculture sector. Moreover, Mahindra Tractors distributed 5 gifts to progressive farmers. Participants also took the opportunity to visit the Mahindra Tractors stall to explore the latest equipment showcased.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks followed by a group photograph with awardees, celebrating a successful day dedicated to empowering the farming community and advocating sustainable agricultural practices.
