Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) is a system that lets employees save money for their retirement by having a certain amount withheld from their paychecks each month and deposited into their EPF account.

Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), the organization in charge of managing retirement funds, allows them to see their account balance. Working professionals who contribute to the EPF system receive an annual rate of interest. Contributors to the EPF should be aware that there are several ways they can check their balance at any time. If you have problems finding your balance, take the steps listed below.

How to Check Your Balance via EPFO Portal:

Go to www.epfindia.gov.in.

Then select "Member Passbook" under the "Employees" section.

Now enter your password and Universal Account Number (UAN).

Your PF passbook will soon be displayed on the screen, allowing you to view the current balance.

How to Check PF Balance via Umang App:

To give citizens easy access to a range of government services, the government released the Umang app. Employees can access this app to view their EPF account balance. For this to happen:

Install the Umang app on your phone.

Give your phone number and finish the once-only registration process.

After that, you can use the software to track your claims, examine your EPF Passbook, and submit claims.

How to Check PF Balance via SMS:

You can access the EPF balance through SMS much more easily if your UAN is registered with the EPFO. You can get information about your most recent contribution and PF balance by simply texting an SMS to 7738299899. Send a message to the above number with the subject line "EPFOHO UAN ENG" to get the details.

Type the first three letters of the language you want to use after "EPFOHO UAN" if you're experiencing language difficulties. For instance, input "EPFOHO UAN MAR" to get the message in Marathi.

How to Check Balance via Missed Calls:

Dialing 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number will let you check the balance information if you have already registered on the UAN website.
