The lives of farmers in Pakistan's Sindh have been turned upside down as a result of the torrential rains that have ruined thousands of acres of orchards and agricultural land. Southern Pakistan has also been hit by severe flooding that has damaged cotton crops.
As a result of the fields being covered by four feet of water, crops have almost entirely been destroyed. Farmers are disappointed after losing all hope.
Numerous individuals have died as a result of the abnormally high monsoon rains, and hundreds of homes have been destroyed.
As per sources, flash floods from the neighbouring province of Balochistan rushed across, decimating hundreds of acres of agricultural land and orchards, and almost 50 villages in Sindh were submerged. Since the monsoon rains have arrived after years of drought in the area, farmers are at a loss on what to do.

Meanwhile, a bridge and a road linking the two provinces were damaged in Lasbela and Khuzdar, respectively, cutting off the road connection to key areas.
Due to the destruction of substantial segments of the route and the collapse of important bridges, traffic on the Quetta-Karachi highway is still not moving.
According to rescue officials, assistance has been delayed because large amounts of infrastructure have been destroyed by continuous and heavy rain, with a road connecting Sindh and Balochistan completely cut off.
