Rain has returned to various parts of the country over the last three days. Heavy rainfall have been observed in certain states. In the previous month, unseasonal rains affected onion harvests in two main producing states, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Rain has had an impact on the taluka of Vaijapur. It is pouring heavily at Dahegaon. Its impact has been felt on onions. Thousands of hectares of onion have been devastated. According to a local farmer, Dahegaon's onion is shipped to other states. This time, 50 bighas of onion were planted. However, the crop has been harmed by rain.

As a result, hundreds of bighas of crops standing in the fields have been flooded. Cotton has also suffered more damage. Farmers believe they have no choice but to wait for the rains. How can the farmer be saved? Only the state government is expected to make amends.

Recent rains, according to officials, are expected to increase the moisture content in onion crops, lowering the shelf-life of the kitchen bulb, while actual output losses are still being assessed.

Grapes, pomegranates, mangoes, and vegetables were also impacted by April rains in numerous Maharashtra districts, including Pune, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Jalgaon, and Satara, and the state government is currently undertaking loss assessment studies to assist farmers.

Farmers are requesting compensation for crop damage. On the other hand, it has come forward with the farmers' needs in mind.
