Educational Qualification

About ICAR RC NEH
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) established the ICAR Research Complex for North Eastern Hill Region (ICAR RC NEH) on January 9, 1975. (ICAR). This is the first of its kind, established by ICAR to meet the research needs of the tribal areas of the NEH Region, including Sikkim. It encompasses all disciplines of agriculture, horticulture, animal sciences, agricultural engineering, agroforestry, fishery, and social sciences.
The institute's headquarters (HQ) are in Meghalaya (Barapani), with regional offices in Basar (Arunachal Pradesh), Imphal (Manipur), Kolasib (Mizoram), Jharnapani (Nagaland), Lembucherra (Tripura), and Gangtok (Sikkim). The institute has 15 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) attached to various centres and the headquarters to provide on/off campus training to practising farmers, school dropouts, and farm women in agriculture and allied sectors.
