IMD Weather Update: Rain in HP, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi Till July 30

People of Himachal Pradesh need to be cautious, as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts widespread rainfall in the state till July 30.

After yesterday’s cloudburst in Kishtwar district in Jammu, the people of Himachal Pradesh need to be cautious, as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts widespread rainfall in the state till July 30.

This widespread rain will continue in Jammu and Kashmir and Northern hills of Uttarakhand till also till July 30. This will be characterized with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Thereafter the weather condition will improve.

Delhi rains

IMD predicts moderate rainfall in Delhi-NCR in the evening of July 29 and the next day. There can be one or two spells of heavy rains during this period.

Delhi is already receiving rainfall since the last two days, resulting in heavy water logging and traffic jams throughout the city and the borders.

Rains over North India

IMD has already predicted fairly widespread to widespread rainfall, dotted with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall, over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, and Jharkhand between July 28 and July 30 and over areas of East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh between July 28 and July 31.

Areas of East Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh are under the spell of widespread rains with isolated heavy to very heavy rains from July 28. According to IMD prediction, this will continue till August 1 with more intensity from July 30.

Along with this, areas of Goa, Konkan, and Ghat regions of Central Maharashtra are likely to receive fairly widespread to widespread rains characterized by isolated heavy rains between July 28 and August 1.
