Speaking at Uma Bharti's hometown of Bada Malhara in Chhatarpur, former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh and current state congress president Kamal Nath made a big announcement that if his party wins a second term in office then the previous pension plan will be restored and farm loans would be waived off.

The senior Congressman claimed that he might have responded with the same ruses but does not believe in conspiracies in what could be viewed as a pre-election political display. Instead, he claimed that Congress has a strong culture of democratic values, which he was confident will help the party retake power in 2023.

"I could do the money deal and discussions as well. However, I don't deal with politics," he added. Kamal Nath reaffirmed that his administration will forgive the farm loans if his party was elected to power in 2023. At Bada Malhara, Kamal Nath also attended a meeting of the booth committees.

He said, "We will bring back the previous pension plan for government employees." Kamal Nath said, “We represent the interests of farmers. When I was the Chief Minister, I made it very clear to the officers that they needed to conduct actual work and not just fill out paperwork to demonstrate that the government had forgiven farm loans. After 11 months, the Shivraj Singh Chouhan administration ended the loan waiver scheme.”

"I declare my Hindu faith with pride, but I am not a fool," he said. "Shivraj Singh Chouhan has made the state number one in farmer suicides, number one in atrocities against women, and number one in unemployment throughout his 18-year term."

"BJP practices politics of divide and rule in the garb of religion and caste. The public should be given the Chief Minister's 18 years of work account," he concluded.
