KVS Admissions 2019 Latest: Merit List for Class II to XI Released, Admission Process Starts, Check Details

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, KVS has released the 1st merit list for class II and above. Parents and guardians of the students can check the merit list from the Kendriya Vidyalaya they have applied for.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, KVS has released the 1st merit list for class II and above. Parents and guardians of the students can check the merit list from the Kendriya Vidyalaya they have applied for.

The KVS admission process also starts for Class II to XI. The admission process will be completely offline hence parents will have to go to the school for admissions.

The last date for admission in Class II to XI is 20th April 2019. The KVS admission formalities must be completed by 30th April. Meanwhile, the admission notice for Class XI will be displayed only after 20 days of Board result declaration.

Earlier, KVS had released the provisional merit list for class I admission on 26th March. 2nd list was uploaded on 9th April.  KVS will be releasing the 3rd list if seats remain vacant on 23 April. Parents are advised to keep checking the KVS School website for latest updates.

The registration process for Class 2 and above (except class 11) started from 2nd April and concluded on 9th April.

Method of admission to class II to VIII

There will be no test for admission to Class II to VIII. Admission will be granted to students based on Priority category system (1 - 5 or 6 as the case may be). If the applications are above the number of seats, then lottery system will be conducted in each category including single girl child quota (For class VI and above).

Method of admission in class IX

For getting admission in Class IX, KVS will conduct an admission test and accordingly a merit list will be made for each category of priority separately. Admission will be granted in the sequence of priority categories, in the order of merit.

(i) Admission test will be conducted in the following subjects – English, Hindi, Maths, Social Science & Science.

(ii) There will be only 1 paper of 3 hr duration & of 100 marks comprising English, Hindi, Maths, Science and Social Science each of 20 marks.

(iii) Students must secure 33 percent marks in aggregate to clear it. Those belonging to SC/ST/PH category will be eligible for admission on obtaining 25 percent in aggregate.
