According to the job-seeker research, the "Great Reshuffle" in India is being driven by freshers with up to one year of work experience (94 %) and Gen Z professionals (87 %), who are more likely to explore changing jobs in 2022.
Based on the replies of 1,111 professionals, the poll found that many want to quit their present jobs owing to a lack of work-life balance (30%), a lack of money (28%), or higher career ambitions (23%). Professionals in India said flexible working conditions will be a top priority when seeking new jobs in the new year.
Better pay (42%), greater appreciation (36%), and improved work-life balance are among the top reasons that professionals in India will stay with their present job in 2022. (34%). However, the findings also show a significant disparity in men's and women's perceptions of how they are compensated by their present employers today.
According to the report, working women (37%) are 1.3 times more likely than working males to quit their present job owing to a lack of work-life balance (28%). When compared to working males, they are considerably more likely (49%) to indicate they will stay with their present employment if they get an increase (39%). "This may serve as a wake-up call for employers to reconsider their compensation package and promote more inclusivity," LinkedIn said.
