LPG Cylinder Prices Hiked; Check Latest Price in Your City

The non-subsidized Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) domestic cylinder has now become costlier by Rs 25/piece since 1st September. After the latest revision in the domestic cylinder (14.2 kilograms) would now cost Rs 884.50 in the National Capital.

The non-subsidized Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) domestic cylinder has now become costlier by Rs 25/cylinder since 1st September. After the latest revision in the domestic cylinder (14.2 kilograms) would now cost Rs 884.50 in the National Capital.  

This is the second hike in a span of 15 days after the latest price hike of cooking gas raised by Rs 25 per cylinder on 18th August.  In the month of July, LPG gas price witnessed a hike of Rs 25.50. The price of a 19 kg Commercial cylinder has been increased by Rs 75 per cylinder.

LPG Prices in Chennai, Mumbai & UP

The Price of a 14.2 kg LPG Cylinder in the financial capital Mumbai is Rs 884.5 as compared to the previous price of Rs 859.50. In Chennai, you will pay Rs 900.50 from the earlier price of Rs 875.50. The price of LPG gas cylinder in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow will cost you Rs 897.5 from 1st September 2021 (Wednesday).

Continuous Rise in Cooking Gas Cylinder

Between 1st January & 1st September, the price of a cooking gas cylinder has witnessed a rise of Rs 190. The government has proposed subsidies on LPG gas eliminated by increasing the rates on a monthly basis. 

The prices of domestic cooking gas have become more than doubled in the last 7 years. In the year 2014, domestic gas stood at Rs 410.5 per 14.2-kilogram cylinder.

Cut in Diesel, Petrol Price  

After the diesel & petrol prices remain unchanged & maintained the same level in last few days. The fuel prices have witnessed a reduction in price by 13 to 15 paisa. Petrol in Delhi is being sold at Rs 101.34 whereas, in Mumbai, it’s Rs 107.39 per litre. The price of Diesel in Delhi stands at Rs 88.77 per litre & in Mumbai, it’s costing at Rs 96.33 per litre.

Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi Slams Centre 

The Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed the Centre over the hike in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder by Rs 25 on 1st September (Wednesday).

The MP of Wayanad alleged that the public was forced to sleep on an empty stomach. “The one, who is forcing the public to sleep on an empty stomach, is resting under the shadow of his friends” claimed the congress MP.
