LPG Cylinder Prices Slashed by Rs 25.5! Check Price in Your State

Commercial LPG rates have generally moved in synch with changes in international rates since they are cost-aligned.

Oil marketing companies have cut the cost of a commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 25.50 per unit. A 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1,859 instead of Rs 1,885 in Delhi due to the most recent price change.

In Chennai, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 2,009.50 instead of Rs 2,045 in Kolkata, Mumbai, and Kolkata, respectively. In Kolkata, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1,959 instead of Rs 1,995.50.

The cost of commercial LPG cylinders was decreased beginning on September 1. Prior to that, prices for the 19-kg commercial cylinder were reduced by 8.5 per unit on July 6. However, domestic cylinder prices will continue to be stable.

Domestic 14.2 kg liquid petroleum gas cylinder prices increased by 50 rupees per unit on July 6.

Previously, on May 19, 2022, domestic cylinder pricing was changed as well. 

LP cylinders are currently selling in Delhi for Rs 1,053 per unit. Additionally, it sells for Rs 1,079, Rs 1,052.5, and Rs 1,068.5 accordingly in Chennai, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Depending on the local VAT, rates vary from state to state. Commercial LPG rates have generally moved in synch with changes in international rates since they are cost-aligned.

And this difference between market-priced commercial LPG and cheap home cooking gas had caused cylinders intended for kitchens to be moved into commercial buildings. The state-owned oil companies have reportedly started limiting the amount of a 14.2-kg refill that a family may purchase in order to prevent this.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) are likely to follow Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) in limiting refills to one per 15 days starting on August 26.
