In any Indian kitchen, LPG cylinders are a must-have. Nonetheless, millions of people in this country, particularly in rural areas, continue to rely on non-traditional cooking methods. LPG cylinders are not available to those with limited financial means. As a result, many Indian families rely on government subsidies to purchase LPG, which would otherwise be prohibitively expensive.

This subsidy is provided by the Indian government to the general population in order to aid them in purchasing LPG cylinders.
