On July 23, 2024 the agricultural community of Ranga Reddy district of Telangana came together in a significant way as the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' was hosted at Raithuvedika, Manchal Village and Mandal. Organized by Krishi Jagran and sponsored by Mahindra Tractors, this crucial event revolved around the theme 'Maximizing Farmers' Income for a Prosperous Bharat,' drawing in more than 150 enthusiastic farmers.
Supported by Dhanuka Agritech and the National Seeds Corporation (NSC), with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) serving as the knowledge partner, the Utsav aimed to bridge the gap between traditional farming practices and the latest agricultural advancements. The event also received backing from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rangareddy.
The day began with participant registration, setting the stage for an array of sessions focused on innovative farming practices. Critical topics such as Good Management practices in agriculture, horticulture, livestock, innovations in the tractor industry, tractor management, and chilli farming were thoroughly covered, providing farmers with actionable insights to enhance their farming operations. Special attention was given to millet farming, underlining its potential in promoting sustainable agriculture.
Distinguished guests graced the event, including Dr Chandrakant M. H. Senior Scientis & Head ICAR-CRIDA, KVK-Ranga Reddy; Madhavai Latha, Mandal Agriculture Officer, Manchal; Hanmanth, Pacs Chairman; Yadaiah, Pacs Vice chairman; S. Vijaya Kumar, SMS (Agril. Engg.); Dr D Sudheer, SMS (Veterinary Science); Subhra S Mohanty, Regional Manager; Representative of Dhanuka Agritech; Representative of NSC. Their presentations focused on innovative farming solutions, emphasizing the importance of boosting farm income while recognizing the achievements of progressive farmers in the region. The day concluded with the acknowledgment of outstanding farmers, who were awarded certificates for their contributions to the agricultural sector.
The Utsav also featured interactive displays from Mahindra Tractors and Dhanuka Agritech, offering farmers firsthand knowledge of the latest advancements in agriculture. Mahindra Tractors showcased their new models, while Dhanuka Agritech and NSC introduced products designed to revolutionize modern farming practices.
