On August 27, 2024, Krishi Jagran, in collaboration with the ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Raichur) at ICAR-KVK-Raichur (UAS Campus) on Lingasugur Road in Raichur district, Karnataka, organized the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav.' The event was sponsored by Mahindra Tractors and supported by Dhanuka Agritech Limited and Tata Motors, with ICAR serving as the knowledge partner. The one-day festival's theme was ‘Maximizing Farmers’ Income for a Prosperous India,’ aiming to connect farmers with the latest practices and innovations in agriculture.
The day's activities began with participant registration, setting the stage for a series of enlightening discussions and networking opportunities. Throughout the day, farmers participated in discussions on crucial topics such as Disease & Pest Management in Chilli Crops, Innovations in the Tractor Industry, Tractor Management, and Millet Farming. These sessions were designed not only to disseminate knowledge but also to foster connections that could lead to future collaborations.

Several distinguished guests attended the one-day event held in Raichur, including Dr. Hanumanthappa Srihari (Senior Scientist and Head, ICAR-KVK, Raichur), Dr. Hanumanthappa M. A large number of farmers participated in the event, gaining valuable insights into pest and disease management in chili, innovations in the tractor industry, tractor management, and millet cultivation.

Mahindra Tractors showcased its latest technology tractors during the event held in Raichur district. Many farmers visited the company's stall to learn about the features, latest advancements, and pricing of the new tractors. Dhanuka Agritech Limited and Tata Motors also set up their stalls at the one-day event. Both companies attracted the attention of farmers with their latest products. During the event, several farmers engaged in detailed discussions about the products introduced by Dhanuka and considered incorporating them into their farming practices. Meanwhile, Tata Motors presented its Altroz car, with farmers inquiring about various aspects of the new vehicle.
The event's highlight was the distribution of certificates by the guests to the progressive farmers of Raichur district. These certificates were awarded to recognize the farmers' significant contributions to agriculture and their achievements in the field. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a group photo, symbolizing the successful effort to empower the farming community and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
What is MFOI 2024?
The MFOI (Millionaire Farmer of India) Award aims to provide a distinct identity to farmers. 'Millionaire Farmer of India' award launched by Krishi Jagran and sponsored by Mahindra Tractors, to give a special recognition to farmers, not just at the district or state level but also at the national level. This initiative will select some progressive farmers from across the country and provide them with a unique identity, not only nationally but also internationally. The award show will honor those farmers who earn more than Rs. 10 lakhs annually and are setting an example for other farmers through innovations in agriculture.
