On July 26, 2024, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Nagpur, Maharashtra was abuzz with vibrant energy as farmers from the region gathered for the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav.' Organized by Krishi Jagran and sponsored by Mahindra Tractors, this pivotal event revolved around the theme 'Maximizing Farmers' Income for a Prosperous Bharat.' The Utsav, powered by Dhanuka Agritech and supported by Tata Motors, with ICAR as the knowledge partner, aimed to bridge the gap between farmers and the latest agricultural practices and innovations.

The Utsav was a collaborative effort involving the Department of Agriculture-Nagpur, KVK Nagpur, and NBSS & LUP-Nagpur. Farmers had the opportunity to gain invaluable insights from experts on new techniques and farming-related knowledge, enhancing their understanding and skills in various agricultural practices.

The day began with participant registration, setting the stage for a series of insightful discussions and networking opportunities. The well-structured agenda included focused sessions on essential topics such as Disease & Pest Management in Cotton and Soybean crops, showcasing the latest strategies and technologies in these fields. Another highlight was the discussion on innovation in the tractor industry, where experts shared advancements that are driving efficiency and productivity in modern farming. Additionally, the session on Tractor Management & Millet Farming emphasized best practices for optimizing agricultural outcomes. These discussions provided valuable knowledge and fostered collaboration among industry professionals.

Distinguished guests graced the event, including Dr. Ramkrushna G.I., Sr. Scientist (Agronomy) & Head, KVK, ICAR-CICR, Nagpur, Dr. Babasaheb Fand, Sr. Scientist (Agri. Entomology), ICAR-CICR, Nagpur, Dr. Dipak Nagrale, Sr. Scientist (Plant Pathology), ICAR-CICR, Nagpur, Ravindra Mohanray DDA- Nagar and Suraj Deshmukh- DGM Dhanuka.

Keynote speakers delivered insightful presentations on innovative farming solutions and cutting-edge agricultural equipment. The focus was on enhancing farm income and recognizing the achievements of progressive farmers in the region. Following the presentations, outstanding farmers were awarded certificates for their contributions, celebrating their dedication and success in advancing agricultural practices.
