Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has announced a revision in the cut-off marks for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024. The revised cut-offs, released on September 17, 2024, have seen a reduction of 21.692 percentile points across all categories, a move aimed at filling higher number of seats for the upcoming MDS counselling process.

-
General and Economically Weaker Section (EWS): The cut-off has been lowered to 28.308 percentile.
-
SC/ST/OBC (Including PWD of SC/ST/OBC): The revised cut-off stands at 18.308 percentile.
-

The decision to lower the cut-off marks comes as part of the government’s effort to ensure that more students can secure seats in specialised dental programs. According to the official notice, the reduction aligns with the Dental Council of India’s (DCI) MDS Regulations, 2017, and subsequent amendments in 2018.
