NITI Aayog is seeking applications from qualified candidates for an internship lasting between six weeks and six months. During this time, interns will get the chance to learn about how the government operates and participate in the development of policy by generating policy inputs like empirical analysis, briefing reports, policy papers, etc.

The NITI Aayog Internship Scheme is open to undergraduate/postgraduate students and research scholars enrolled in recognized universities and institutes in India and overseas. They will collaborate closely with NITI's cells, verticals, and divisions. Candidates must complete an online registration form in order to apply.

NITI Aayog Internship 2022 Details

Based on NITI Aayog's needs, the organization offers internship opportunities throughout the year. Interested students can submit an application from the first to the tenth of every month. Internships must be completed within a minimum of six weeks and a maximum of six months, and interns who do not complete the required time will be terminated.

NITI Aayog Internship: Eligibility

Students from any recognized university or institution in India or abroad who meet the requirements below are eligible to apply for the internship:

  • Undergraduate students who successfully completed or appeared in the term-ending examinations for the second year I fourth semester of their bachelor's degree program and earned at least 85%, or the equivalent, in their 12th-grade coursework.

  • Graduate students having completed/ appeared in the term-end exams of the first year/2nd semester of their post-graduate program or perusing research/Ph.D. and secured not less than 70% or equivalent marks in Graduation.

  • They have earned 70% or more in total marks throughout all of their graduation/post-graduation years/semesters as of the application deadline.

  • The applicant can apply for an internship starting in the month of December if the results of the final test are announced in the month of June, but no later than six months before the desired month of internship.

Please Note:

  • The list of chosen applicants will be posted on the NITI Aayog website by the respective vertical or division.

  • Depending on the volume of applications received for a certain domain or region, NITI Aayog reserves the right to determine the eligibility requirements, set a limit on the number of candidates who will be addressed at a given time, and choose the screening method.

  • The candidate must log their time in and out each day while they are working at NITI Aayog, and they must maintain a minimum attendance rate of 75%. No extension of the internship period is permitted and no experience certificate will be granted if there is less than 75% attendance.

  • Any of the above conditions may be relaxed for any desiring applicant at the decision of the CEO of NITI Aayog.
