The second-oldest agricultural university in India, Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), is hosting the most-awaited OUAT Farmers' Fair 2023, which officially began today in Bhubaneshwar.

The fair started with a grand inaugural session, a welcome address by Dr. PJ Mishra, dean of extension education (OUAT), and a speech by Krishi Jagran's editor-in-chief MC Dominic regarding the 'promotion of agriculture'.

Seeds, seedlings, QPM, tissue culture plantlets, mushroom spawn, fingerlings, yearlings, poultry, biofertilizers, biopesticides, and vermicompost will be the key objectives of the show.

In addition to the opening session, the first day of the event will feature two stages of technical sessions for the participating farmers and other industry professionals.

A plenary conference, Industry-Farmer Interface, and Technical Session III (Farmer-Scientist Interaction) are scheduled for Day 2 of the fair.

The fair will feature participation from farmers, farm women, agri-entrepreneurs, FPOs, agriculture and allied ministries, ICAR institutes, public & commercial seed agencies, and more.

The main goal of the event is to promote agriculture's most recent innovations and best practises in the sector. Farmers attending the fair will have the opportunity to network with business executives and learn about the most recent technological, scientific, and agricultural developments.

The 2-day fair will come to an end on February 28.
