Many farmers who were previously receiving benefits from PM-Kisan payments have experienced a disruption in their disbursements. The disbursement of the PM Kisan instalment hit a snag last time, causing concern among farmers. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has devised a solution to address this issue, reassuring farmers that relief is on the way. Today, a campaign for e-KYC was launched with the goal of ensuring farmers receive their installments on time.
In collaboration with state governments and district administrations, the campaign will leverage over four lakh common service centres nationwide. These centers will play a pivotal role in identifying and resolving issues faced by eligible farmers.
PM Kisan: e-KYC Campaign
Farmers experiencing payment disruptions may find one of two reasons behind the setback: either they have not completed their e-KYC process, or their Aadhaar is not linked to their bank account. The : e-KYC Campaign targets these specific issues to streamline the payment process.
As per the PM Kisan website, "eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PMKISAN Portal or nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric based eKYC.”
As part of the campaign, district administrations will set up Common Service Center camps in villages or blocks as required. Staff at these centers will assess the reasons for payment delays and work towards immediate resolution. Farmers are encouraged to visit these camps to address their concerns and resolve any outstanding issues promptly.
