The Rajasthan government set a 500 per unit LPG cylinder price for users under the Ujjwala Yojana plan, covering 76 lakh people. The state government led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot unveiled its annual budget for 2023-24 on February 10.

Gehlot stated in December 2022 that individuals living below the poverty line (BPL) will be allowed to purchase 12 cylinders annually for a cost of 500.

The government will give eligible families actively participating in this project gas cylinders for 500 rupees each, according to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

Only residents of Rajasthan who qualify as BPLs and are below the poverty line are given the LPG cylinder benefit. Residents of other states who are from Rajasthan would not be qualified for this initiative. Benefits won't start to be given out until all required paperwork has been verified.

You must be a resident of Rajasthan and make less than the poverty line in order to qualify for the Ujjwala Yojana program's benefits. To apply for this plan, you need an Aadhaar card, proof of income, proof of residency, and a ration card. By visiting the official website and providing the required paperwork, you can apply for this subsidy.

What is PM Ujjwala Yojana?

The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) seeks to protect women's and children's health by supplying them with clean cooking fuel - LPG - so they don't have to risk their health in smoky kitchens or wander in dangerous places gathering firewood. On May 1, 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh.
